Solar Cars
It is unlikely that vehicles will ever be run completely from solar power. They must be extremely light weight (no batteries) and have a large surface area for the photovoltaic
cells. Solar car races are used to test advances in solar power. University teams usually compete.

Sunrayce is a popular solar power car event run on odd years (1995, 1997, 1999, etc). Here is a picture of MIT's car in the 1997 race.
